Let it snow (not melt)

I have skied 7 time this winter already. I forget how much I like skiing. The last few year I only got out a few time and never real got in to any ski shape. I hope the whole winter stay like this.
Went to Minooka Park on New Years Day. It been a long time since I ski there. It's still a nice place to go.
Oh yea by the way HAPPY NEW YEAR.

End Of Year

Well I was doing some totaling. Looks as I have 1350 miles between road, mtb and cross. My bigest mileage week was 88 miles that's in one week.

I do have another 300 some on the track. That is a wopping 1650 miles racing and training. I don't know if I will be able to put up big numbers like this again next year. With out going Pro or something.

Snow

I skied Parkside and Nordic, hopefuly more to come. Not doing the dry land training I used to before ski season makes sking alot more of a work out then I need sometime at this time of the year.
But It's fun and I get to see bikers try and ski, that always fun. Any one have snowburn on their face (Goat)

All ways forget how much fun night riding is. Had a good turn out. Hope Randy's all right, he went down hard just after I picked myself up off the ground.

07 FT 40 back to the big boys race

Well I met my goal for the FT 40 this year. Under 3 hours on the SS. It was fast and dry, that helped. I was in the upper 1/3 with 25 in the SS cat. out 85. but I have finish in just about the same time 2:50 on a geared bike and have been in the 300s over all. I was in the mid 400s. OH well I did the time I wanted to.

Big Ring with just one

Did Wors Big ring Classic in Wausau Rain on the way up stoped by the time we got there did a lap pre-ride fun fast course.
Did dinner with the Coopers, Daanans, Russell and Kyle.
Started the race in the middle of 240 people worked my way up to 30th over all and 5th in SS. I don't like riding in mud, I can do it I just don't like ruining my bike and clothing, but this was a fun muddy race.
Met some dirty girls too.

Time to write AGAIN!!!!

Haven't writ anything here in a while. Been do some riding got out to the Kettle's once did the ABR crits in Keno. got dropped in the 30+ finished the 3's.
Washed the mud from the last WORS race last year off the race bike and started to do some work on it. Went out to do a ride from my house Sat. and ran into Jay he tooked my picture. Then I took one of what I see. But I see my hand too. I did not dress right and I was a little warm but I rolled my sleeves up and got a sun burn on my wrists.

More goings ON

I have been getting some riding in, few COLD ones. Starting to feel a little fitness come on. But could stand to loose a few lbs.
Last Saturday one of my neighbors said there was some shady person that went up to my door. So I checked the video and sure enough there he was, I think he was trying to steal some Hayes secrets. Trying to find out how we have so much fun and still ride our bikes.

Got out

Got to do some riding over the weekend. Sat morning did the Wind Lake route 32miles, it was a little wet when we started but dried as we road. I use the cross bike as I did not feel like getting the Tarmac all sloped up.

Sunday I was going to go do the last Parkside race but it was so nice out and I did not feel like spending $20 to ride my bike.

I did a ride with Budda, Coop, Sam and some other around Pewakee Lake from Tosa 42 miles. It was a good ride for me and I road the way I needed to.

What's been up

WELL
I got out and rode the new bike lasted Thurs. on the 1st Wednesday night ride on Thursday. It was cold we did about 35 miles and I could not go very hard, seeing as it was my 4th time on the bike this year. The new bike felt good.
Friday we had our yearly St. Pat's party, Saturday I felt terrible. Sunday road to Parkside road in the 3's race for 30min and then road home.
Hopefully it won't rain this Thurs. so I can keep my training up.

For those of you who check.

Well did not get to ride the new bike yet. Did ride Sat. morning 35 miles and Sun. road down to Parkside 14 miles and watch some races, after road back up with Russell, Sam and Aaron (Trebuchet) 25 miles.

Might try a race this Sun.

Going to try and get on the new bike today, hopefully it stay together. I built it up out of the box. I only do this once every few years, so I always think I forgot to tighten something up.

Got a new toy off Ebay too, a Garmin Forerunner 305 it was use but in real good condition. $190 they retail for 340ish. I still need to get the cadence sender or 2 for the Road bikes.

I still can ride a bike

Last Sunday I did a road ride with Tool, Coop, Bubbs, Meg, and Sam. It was a good pace for my 1st time on a longer ride since I did the night ride back at the beginning of Jan. My leg were tired after the 32 miles. But if felt good to be on the bike.

Speaking of bikes I got a new one. Just need to finish putting it together and wait for the roads to clear off.

Hoping to start riding into work at least once a week if not more, that get me some miles as it is 20 each direction.
