BMX

Well I went to the track last night. Every fall it's like start all over on the bmx bike. I brought the helmet cam along but forgot to use it. Maybe next week.
So besides the little sentence above that's it.

Lazy Time of the Year

It's that time of the year I don't care if I ride or do anything.
Been playing with PCs watching TV and not doing much.
OH ya Mickey said hi to you all.
Had a lot of fun at D world, but it was a little hot in the 90's. I was looking forward to mid 70s.
Did the Washington Park Cross Race, more like a ride for me as I don't care how I do. Just getting a good work out in.
Another 2 weeks or so I should be ready to start training again.
BXM, Weight training, Ski if there's snow or riding on the week ends.

Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival 2006

Had a great time as always and an OK race. Thurs we road trails by Telemark they were fun. Fri. was preriding the Short and Fat(smart) course.
Sat. was the race, I was 2min. slower then last year and end 5th in the SS cat. But I move up one place to 54 over all from last years 55th place.

Ojib(a something) Trail I got separated from every one and end up riding the loop the opposite direction and running into them and riding the trail back that I had already ridden. It was still a fun trail.



Short and Fat I had a preferred start from my finish last year 2nd in SS. There was a near crash just before we hit the gravel and I was off a wheel and off the main group. Kept them in site for awhile but started to slow. Pass Len at about the same point as last year and he hung with me for a while.

Shunburts

Had an OK race. Good hill workout. I owe some thanks to Buba for helping me out by giving Stuart a crap cog. His chain kept coming off so I beat him.

Days after the last night of track 2006

Wed. I finished cutting the grass. It was LONG.
Thurs. did the Wheel ride, Mike talk to me, told me he is never going to do this girls ride again and that he would also never talk to me again. I old him I never wanted to talk to him in the 1st place. We did a little dirrent route.

Sat. I did a ride at the Kettle's with my brother Jeff did Muir the connector and Carlin then back. He's riding way better then he was a month ago. It was good weather and a very nice ride.

Sun. I went to ride the Alpha stuff and ran into Keith, I have not seen or talk to him in a while. He caught me up on what has all happen since his heart attack. I end up riding for just 45 min.

Last Night of Kenosha Track 2006

It's the end of the track season already. I was tried from the weekend yet but had fun racing. Did the consolation race with Sam wish I could of been more help, but she did OK.

WORS Cup

Did both days
Day 1 Super D TT finished 3 about 8 seconds down from 2nd, short and grease not my best conditions.
Day 2 felt crummy started slow like dead last of the SSers. Road my race and pass a few along the way end up 5th and ahead of the 2nd place gut from the TT. So I got 2nd in the WORS cup, Jay got 1st.

More Riding

Went to the Metro TT last night. Just to ride the Mt bike for about an hour. Then I went over to the BMX track to watch and talk with some of the people over there.
I did a lap with my Garmin running.
This is what it looks like.

Have not done anything on here for a little while again. I have been riding some and racing the track. Help Len move stuff to his new place and made to the Metro tt a few times now.

Below is the lasted points race at Kenosha I made my goal of finishing and having made some differents in the race, I did an OK lead out for Springer to 1 lap to go and got Sam in a good spot for the last sprint.

A week later

Well no Northbrook this week, so I returned to the Thurs. night ride at Wheel. It was a good ride, and I felt OK. I put the helmet cam on and shot some footage. I did a hack job on the editing as I'm still learning how to. So enjoy.

Thurs Night Racing At NB

It was the big Roger DeLanghe Trophy Race 50 laps fast. I finish but just hung on. Average speed was 29.something MPH.

Then there was a 3s 4s Madison, one person on the team had to be 4 and the other a 3. This meant Len and I could not race together we have done over 20 teamraces together. I have done Team races with only like 4 different people over the lasted 10 years. Riding with a stranger was weird but it was a good work out.

Pfarr classic 06

Well I finished on the same lap, I was worried that I would be going laps down I got some points to but ended up around 18th or so. Not the fastest Pfarr classic as it took over an hour. Some in the pasted finished in about 59 min.

Weekend of 7/21

I started the Kenosha Super Week race, but got dropped after 10 miles of the 30 some mile race. It started raining about 6 laps in, that made some people skiddish and yo yoed the field.
Sat. I did a 30 mile ride from my house with Len, then Sat. Night headed up to Milwaukee to watch Downer Ave.
Sunday after going to see Sammy's race in White Fishbay I did a fixed gear ride. Sammy end up 2nd over for the women's 3/4. She was tied in points but the other girl had gotten a 2nd and Sam did not that was the tie breaker.

Hill and Banking

Sunday I did the 2006 Alterra Coffee Bean Classic. It was hot and I as normal did not have the best start, settled in and road my race, plenty of rest in the single track as I all ways caught up to some one poking along in it. Finished 6th in the SS.
Tuesday night was the Mayor's Cup at the track I Felt a little tired try to warm up good. But I'm never really warmed up til after the the 1st race. In this case it was the the Mayor's Cup 75 lap points race. Just was going to sit in and hope I could get finished warming up. But the legs did want to move that fast. I ended up get down 2 laps.

DAN wins final sprint in Madison

This was lasted week at Northbrook in the 3s 4s Madison.

Rain held off

So we got aother night of racing in at Keno. Small feild but some good fun racing.
Got another toy that collects data. Here what the Main Point Race looked like for me.

Heat Stroke?

Did the HS over the weekend, it lived up to it's name. Coop, Ann, LELE, Brain, Johnyy, and Dave T(started with us but his neck hurted him so he went home and made us lunch)
We did the 74 mile. That I think was my longest ride of the year.

Been doing more this year. Between Kenosha and and North Brook I have raced about 200 miles on the track.
